Craving
Boost
blowoff valves are CNC machined to exacting tolerances, less than one
thousandth of an inch, to ensure that every one functions perfectly.
Machined from solid bars of billet 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized to
achieve a hard durable surface, our BOV's are designed to take a beating
and keep looking beautiful.
Made with the utmost pride right
here in Canada, you can be certain that our products meet the highest
standards. The piston is hollowed out for light weight
while still retaining strength where it counts, this is the only part
that moves so having it light and nimble is a good thing.
Our design
prevents leaking with our specific combination of seals, so the piston will
seal harder with more boost pressure. Some BOV's will leak or tear at
higher boost, not this one! The Forcefed Blowoff Valve has been pressure
tested to 120psi without leaking.
Also it
is constantly being abused by the spring and smashing against the seat,
so it has to be strong. The piston is turned on a CNC lathe to
1.97" in diameter (50.038mm), making it one of the biggest blow off valves on
the market! The overall diameter of the blow off valve is 3",
giving it a very strong presence in any engine bay.
One
extremely unique aspect to our blow off valves is that we've taken a
very elegant approach to their design. Other blow off valves are
machined with sharp and blocky corners while some are cast and downright
ugly. Ours are curvy with smooth edges all over, making them very
appealing to the eye.
One of our favorite parts about the valve is
the way it mounts to the intercooler pipe. Just like any other BOV
a tube gets welded to the intercooler pipe, but instead of big and bulky
t-bolt clamps or weird set screws that stick out all over and look ugly,
our BOV's mount very smoothly with 4 button head screws.
The blowoff valve mates to the welded tube with a sleek visual line, continuing
those nice curves right until the weld. Use a beautiful TIG weld
on nice aluminum or stainless steel intercooler piping to complete the
visual package.
